Sunn O)))<\/a> are ready for their big debut on Sub Pop<\/a>. After revealing last fall that they signed to the legendary Seattle label<\/a>, the drone metal band has announced a new self-titled album and a tour of North America. Sunn O)))<\/em> is out April 3. Check out their new song \u201cGlory Black\u201d and their full list of tour dates below.<\/p>\n

The forthcoming LP is Sunn O)))\u2019s first in seven years, following their 2019 double punch with Life Metal<\/em><\/a> and Pyroclasts<\/em><\/a>. Drone stewards Stephen O\u2019Malley and Greg Anderson co-produced the album with Brad Wood. \u201cGlory Black,\u201d which closes out Sunn O)))<\/em>, is the first preview of the LP. However, the duo did drop three new songs just a few months ago\u2014\u201cEternity\u2019s Pillars<\/a>,\u201d \u201cRaise the Chalice<\/a>,\u201d and \u201cReverential<\/a>\u201d\u2014that were packed together on a 12″ single.<\/p>\n

When they head out on tour this spring, Sunn O))) will be headlining a run across North America. The first leg begins on April 1 in Phoenix, Arizona, and ends on April 19 in Omaha, Nebraska. Additional concerts will be announced soon, a press release promises. Tickets for Sunn O)))\u2019s tour go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. local time.<\/p>\n
