A$AP Rocky<\/a> has revealed the tracklist for his new album Don\u2019t Be Dumb<\/em> ahead of its long-awaited release this Friday (January 16).<\/p>\n Dubbed \u201ca true masterpiece by A$AP Rocky and his alter egos,\u201d the project features 15 songs including the recently released \u201cHelicopter$\u201d<\/a> and \u201cPunk Rocky.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n Other tracks include \u201cStole Ya Flow,\u201d \u201cStop Snitching\u201d and \u201cWhiskey (I\u2019m Not Resisting),\u201d all of which the Harlem rapper has performed live in recent years.<\/p>\n Guest features and producers remain under wraps for now, but Rocky has teased a number of high-profile collaborators including Tyler, The Creator<\/a>, Metro Boomin<\/a> and Busta Rhymes<\/a>, among others.<\/p>\n There are also rumors that the elusive Frank Ocean<\/a> will make a rare appearance on the song \u201cAir Force (Black DeMarco)\u201d after its producer, Digital Nas, strongly hinted as much<\/a> on X (formerly Twitter) earlier this week.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n A$AP Rocky \u2014 Don\u2019t Be Dumb<\/em> (Tracklist):<\/strong><\/p>\n 1. Order of Protection One confirmed (and central) contributer to Don\u2019t Be Dumb<\/em> is Tim Burton, the legendary filmmaker behind Beetlejuice<\/em>, Edward Scissorhands<\/em> and the late \u201980s\/early \u201990s Batman<\/em> movies.<\/p>\n Burton\u2019s name appears on the official cover art, which he also designed, while the tracklist describes the album as \u201cthe nightmare b4 the release\u201d \u2014 a clear nod to Burton\u2019s 1982 poem The Nightmare Before Christmas<\/em> (which was, of course, later turned into a cult-classic film).<\/p>\n \u201cI love Tim Burton, man. I\u2019ve been inspired by him [since] a child,\u201d A$AP Rocky told Vanity Fair<\/em><\/a> last year. \u201cI think what he does with claymation and how he transcended into live-action movies, the parallels between them and [how] he seamlessly included it from matte painting to German Expressionism. I think he\u2019s a fucking genius.\u201d<\/p>\n Longtime Burton collaborator, the composer Danny Elfman, is also involved, with A$AP Rocky saying in the same interview: \u201cDanny Elfman did my album with me, he scored a bunch of the song. We had [the TV] on mute and were just making music to all of the old fims, Pee-wee\u2019s Playhouse<\/em> and The Simpsons<\/em>, all that.\u201d<\/p>\n As for the \u201calter egos\u201d part, a clue may lie in the vinyl listing<\/a> of Don\u2019t Be Dumb<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cThe 15-track [album] moves through genres the way you\u2019d move through a city \u2014 jazz, hip hop, metal, indie, R&B \u2014 each track capturing a different block, mood, or moment.
