\n\tHave you ever seen such a beautiful night? During her tour launch in London, a.k.a. her first concert since 2015, Hilary Duff<\/a> performed \u201cWhat Dreams Are Made of\u201d for the first time ever.<\/p>\n

\n\tHeld at O2 Shepherd\u2019s Bush Empire, Duff\u2019s 17-song set list contained gems from her catalog (\u201cWake Up,\u201d \u201cCome Clean\u201d), plus tracks off her upcoming album Luck \u2026or Something.<\/a><\/em> She closed with a triumphant \u201cWhat Dreams Are Made of,\u201d from 2003\u2019s The Lizzie McGuire Movie.<\/em> <\/p>\n

\n\tIn a recent interview with Therapuss<\/a><\/em>, Duff told Jake Shane that she doesn\u2019t even remember recording the Disney song, since she was only 14 at the time. \u201cBut I will say, now I love it,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd when I was filming the movie, I loved it. It was just a weird time, and it wasn\u2019t technically my song. It was a Lizzie McGuire song.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cWhen I sing it now, I feel a lot of joy. I just think there was such a separation back then of me and my music and Lizzie McGuire<\/em>. I didn\u2019t really get to perform that song live, because I didn\u2019t own it. But if I would ever tour again, I think maybe I would be allowed to manage to sing that song somehow\u2026.some way. Maybe, maybe. Hypothetically.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDuff will release Luck \u2026or Something<\/em>, her first album in over a decade, on Feb. 20 via Atlantic. She co-produced it with her husband, musician Matthew Koma, and Brian Phillips. She\u2019s released two singles from the album so far: \u201cMature<\/a>\u201d and \u201cRoommates.<\/a>\u201d She\u2019ll continue her Small Rooms, Big Nerves Tour<\/a> in Toronto on Jan. 24, before heading to the States for more shows (including a Las Vegas residency<\/a>).<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI am often asked how I still have my head on straight after growing up in this industry,\u201d Duff said, upon announcing Luck \u2026or Something<\/em>. \u201cThe album title is my way of answering that question. It\u2019s luck, but there\u2019s also a lot of weight in the \u2018\u2026or something\u2019. Many of the things I\u2019ve been through along the way are held there, and I feel like ultimately that\u2019s what\u2019s shaped me.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
