Now, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/harry-styles-new-song-aperture-1235503158\/\">a new album<\/a> to promote, the singer is finally explaining why he was there.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tIt turns out, Styles was just getting his hair styled in Italy that day, according to a new interview he gave <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reels\/DT166iTCFRa\/\">BBC Radio 1<\/a> on Friday. \u201cIt happened [when] I was getting a haircut in Rome, and then I just heard all these people start shouting: <em>\u2018Habemus papam, habemus papam\u2019<\/em> [\u2018We have a pope\u2019], and people just running down the street.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cSo the guy cutting my hair, stopped cutting my hair, and he was like: <em>\u2018Habemus papam.<\/em> There\u2019s a new pope. There\u2019s a new pope.\u2019 So then we finished up, and then I was like: \u2018Oh, I\u2019m like, five minutes\u2019 walk [from there]\u2019, so I walked over there.\u201d Stating the obvious, he added, \u201cIt was wild.\u201d He didn\u2019t mention the \u201cTechno is my boyfriend\u201d hat he was wearing or why he was wearing a hat after a haircut, but hey, there was a new pope, so who cares.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"\/>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tIn the same interview, Styles discussed the title of his upcoming fourth studio album<em>, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally,<\/em> according to <em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.the-independent.com\/arts-entertainment\/music\/harry-styles-vatican-pope-leo-haircut-b2906420.html\">The Independent<\/a><\/em>, joking that he\u2019d almost titled it, <em>Drink Water All the Time, but You Have to Pee Occasionally<\/em>. In another Friday interview, this time with John Mayer, he stood pedantically by the real title\u2019s proper punctuation. \u201cIt\u2019s a very important comma,\u201d he said. The song is the first track on the album, but the last he recorded when he finalized the album last summer. \u201cIt was kind of when we were at our most free\u2026 and was just like, this is the first song that I play to people when I\u2019ve showed them what the new music sounds like,\u201d he said. That feeling made the song \u201cobvious\u201d as the first one he\u2019d share with the whole world.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tSpeaking of the whole world, Styles will be setting up shop all over throughout the year, playing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/harry-styles-2026-together-together-global-residency-tour-1235503295\/\">concert residencies<\/a> in cities from S\u00e3o Paulo to Sydney. He\u2019ll spend the most time in New York City, where he\u2019s playing 30 shows in a span of 66 days at Madison Square Garden.
