He took the field at Levi\u2019s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, alongside a choir dressed in all white and a small orchestra, to sing \u201cThe Star Spangled Banner.\u201d He accompanied himself on a Rhodes keyboard. He was styled by Jack Antonoff<\/a>, in denim jeans and a tan leather jacket.<\/p>\n Ahead of kickoff, Brandi Carlile<\/a> also performed an acoustic rendition of \u201cAmerica the Beautiful,\u201d and Coco Jones<\/a> sang \u201cLift Every Voice and Sing\u201d backed by two cellists and six violinists. Green Day opened the festivities<\/a> with a medley of hits including \u201cHoliday\u201d and \u201cAmerican Idiot,\u201d although they omitted the more political portions of both songs, including a verse on \u201cAmerican Idiot\u201d that critiques the \u201credneck agenda.\u201d Later this evening, Bad Bunny will play the official Super Bowl halftime show<\/a>.
