Sofia Kourtesis<\/a> has recorded a mix for the DJ Kicks series. The first of four original Kourtesis songs leads the set; listen to \u201cLos Poemas No Siempre Riman\u201d below. The tracklist, also below, includes exclusive contributions from Jon Hopkins<\/a>, Axel Boman<\/a>, Myd<\/a>, Joy (Anonymous), and Laurence Guy. !K7<\/a> will release the set on March 27.<\/p>\n Kourtesis said in a press release, \u201cDJ-Kicks<\/em> is a series that shaped how I think about DJing and listening. I played the DJ Koze mix<\/a> an unhealthy number of times, to the point where it basically lives in my DNA now. Those mixes taught me that the best ones aren’t about showing off; they\u2019re about taking people on a journey. They move, twist and surprise you. They give you goosebumps when you least expect it.\u201d<\/p>\n She added, \u201cThis mix was about bringing together all the different sounds and emotions I carry with me. The highs, the lows, the warmth, the weird little left turns. That\u2019s basically how my brain works when I\u2019m behind the decks. This is my way of letting those worlds collide, overlap and dance with each other. That\u2019s exactly what I wanted to do here. I wanted emotion, tension, release.
