The terms of the deal\u2014including what was included in the sale and how much it was sold for\u2014have not been made public. Pitchfork has reached out to representatives for Spears and Primary Wave for further comment.<\/p>\n Founded in 2005, Primary Wave has spent the last two decades on a catalog asset tear, scooping up the music rights of Bob Marley, Smokey Robinson, Prince, James Brown, and Whitney Houston, among others. In 2020, Stevie Nicks sold her publishing rights to Primary Wave for $100 million.<\/p>\n Spears has released a total of nine studio albums, including her last record, 2016\u2019s Glory<\/em>.
