Mutiny After Midnight<\/em>, by Johnny Blue Skies and the Dark Clouds, will be released only on vinyl, CD, and cassette<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n \n\tJohnny Blue Skies<\/a> has returned, and he\u2019s ready to groove. Sturgill Simpson<\/a>\u2018s alter ego<\/a> will release Mutiny After Midnight<\/em>, out March 13.<\/p>\n \n\tWritten spontaneously and made with his band the Dark Clouds, Johnny Blue Skies recorded and produced the album at Dan Auerbach\u2019s Easy Eye Sound in Nashville. The whole process was a spontaneous affair, in order to capture the vibe. \u201cThere\u2019s a simple goal we as a band set out to achieve: to make a dance record,\u201d he said in a statement.<\/p>\n \n\tThe album features nine tracks, kicking off with the opener \u201cMake America Fuk Again\u201d (\u201cMaybe things have been worse but I can\u2019t remember when\/Wanna start a revolution and watch it begin<\/em>,\u201d read the lyrics) and concluding with \u201cAin\u2019t That a Bitch.\u201d Catch the full track list below.<\/p>\n \n\tMutiny After Midnight f<\/em>ollows Johnny Blue Skies\u2019 2024 debut Passage Du Desir<\/a><\/em>, which landed at No. 2 on Rolling Stone<\/em>\u2018s list of the Best Country and Americana Albums<\/a> of the year. Mutiny After Midnight <\/em>will be released via Atlantic Outpost, on vinyl, cassette, and CD only.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI wrote words to what is happening in the world and my life in real time, and played with a group of musicians I deeply love and respect,\u201d Simpson said. \u201cTogether, we made an album that is very fun, and will hopefully offer some relief from darkness in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n
