Thomas Rhett<\/a> and his wife, Lauren Akins<\/a>, have a family that doesn\u2019t seem to stop growing.<\/p>\n As they await the birth of their fifth child, Rhett revealed something that may surprise parents juggling childcare: The couple chooses not to rely on a nanny or regular babysitter.<\/p>\n Rhett and Akins shared on the That Sounds Fun Podcast<\/a><\/em>\u00a0that they don\u2019t have a nanny, assistant or even a consistent babysitter helping with their children.<\/p>\n That means at any given time, there are usually just one or two adults at home keeping an eye on their four \u2014 soon to be five \u2014 children, which can make for some pretty chaotic days.<\/p>\n So chaotic, in fact, that Rhett joked he sometimes starts itching to get back out on the road and play shows.<\/p>\n Rhett joked that he\u2019d even book a private show for little to no money just to get out of the house for a bit.<\/p>\n \u201cLike, can we just book some dates in March? I don\u2019t care where they are. We\u2019ll go. I will come sing at your kids\u2019 birthday at this point \u2014 as long as it\u2019s a three-day birthday.\u201d<\/p>\n Could you imagine calling Rhett\u2019s booking agent to ask if he\u2019d play your 5-year-old\u2019s backyard birthday party for three days \u2014 and getting a yes?<\/p>\n Looking ahead to the birth of their fifth child, Rhett struck a more serious tone, saying, \u201cI don\u2019t want to discount the fact that it\u2019s a huge miracle, and it\u2019s a gift.
