Miley Cyrus<\/a> has announced a previously teased 20th anniversary special for Hannah Montana<\/em>, the Disney Channel show that made the singer a star.<\/p>\n \u201cGoing back to where it all began,\u201d Cyrus wrote<\/a> in the announcement.<\/p>\n The special, which will be filmed in front of a live audience and premiere on Disney+ on March 24, will celebrate the show\u2019s legacy and \u201coffer an intimate look at the creation of one of pop culture\u2019s most iconic characters and the lasting impact the show and character have had on fans around the world.\u201d It will also include an interview between Cyrus and Call Her Daddy<\/em> podcast host Alex Cooper.<\/p>\n \u201cHannah Montana<\/em> will always be a part of who I am,\u201d Cyrus said in a statement. \u201cThe fact that it still means so much to people all these years later is something I\u2019m very proud of. This \u2018Hannahversary\u2019 is my way of celebrating and thanking the fans who\u2019ve stood by me for 20 years.\u201d<\/p>\n Hannah Montana<\/em> starred Cyrus as Molly Stewart, a teenager living a double life as the titular pop star. The series ran for four seasons between 2006 and 2011 and featured five soundtrack spin-off albums\u2014including Cyrus\u2019 musical debut, Hannah Montana<\/em>, which was credited to her character.
