{"id":58731,"date":"2026-02-23T19:32:27","date_gmt":"2026-02-23T19:32:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/musicianvoice.com\/index.php\/2026\/02\/23\/nicki-minajs-maga-posts-boosted-by-bots-new-report-claims\/"},"modified":"2026-02-23T19:32:27","modified_gmt":"2026-02-23T19:32:27","slug":"nicki-minajs-maga-posts-boosted-by-bots-new-report-claims","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/musicianvoice.com\/index.php\/2026\/02\/23\/nicki-minajs-maga-posts-boosted-by-bots-new-report-claims\/","title":{"rendered":"Nicki Minaj&#8217;s MAGA Posts Boosted by Bots, New Report Claims"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tNicki Minaj\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/nicki-minaj\/\">MAGA turn<\/a> has been partly fueled by an army of bot accounts on X, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/f\/?id=0000019c-7720-de8a-a1fc-ff6079aa0000\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">new report<\/a> shared with <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2026\/02\/23\/the-bots-powering-nicki-minajs-maga-war-00771317?utm_medium=twitter&amp;utm_source=dlvr.it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Politico<\/a><\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tPut together by the disinformation company Cyabra, the report analyzed engagement tied to 51 \u201cpolitical-related posts\u201d on Minaj\u2019s X account between Nov. 11 and Dec. 22, just as the rapper was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/nicki-minaj-erika-kirk-turning-point-usa-amfest-trump-vance-1235488547\/\">cementing her new<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/jd-vance-sides-nicki-minaj-over-cardi-b-1235482516\/\">place as a<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/nicki-minaj-united-nations-speech-1235467379\/\">right-wing darling<\/a>. Of the more than 55,000 profiles interacting with these posts, Cyabra found at least 33 percent (nearly 19,000) were likely fake. The established benchmarks for fake accounts present in \u201corganic social media discourse\u201d typically ranges between seven and 10 percent, the report noted.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cBased on the scale, concentration, and behavioral alignment of the inauthentic activity identified,\u201d the report reads, \u201cCyabra assesses with high confidence that a coordinated fake campaign was actively amplifying political content\u201d on Minaj\u2019s X account.\u201d (The person who commissioned the report from Cyabra was not identified for fear of public retaliation.)\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tOne of the big indicators of inauthenticity Cyabra cited was a \u201clinguistic and stylistic uniformity\u201d among the allegedly fake accounts. When Minaj was being criticized, the report found that allegedly fake accounts responded with support that used \u201chighly similar language and messaging.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tWhile some shared \u201clonger, more detailed comments designed to appear organic,\u201d the report described many posts as \u201cbrief, repetitive, and low in semantic complexity.\u201d These were meant to \u201cshape the overall tone of the discussion through scale rather than persuasion,\u201d the report claimed. (Though perhaps unsurprisingly, the report found that toxic content tied to Minaj\u2019s posts enjoyed \u201cenjoyed \u201csubstantially stronger amplification.\u201d)<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThese allegedly fake profiles, the report added, were often posting alongside authentic users and \u201cadopting engagement rhythms that closely mirrored organic behavior.\u201d Such patterns, the report continued, suggested \u201ca deliberate attempt to integrate into genuine conversations, increasing the credibility and visibility of the amplified content.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<section class=\"brands-most-popular \/\/ editors-pick-module lrv-u-margin-tb-2 lrv-u-border-a-2 u-box-shadow-5-5 lrv-u-padding-lr-1 a-span1 u-padding-b-1@tablet u-overflow-hidden\">\n<h2 id=\"section-heading\" class=\"c-heading larva  lrv-u-text-align-center u-border-color-black a-font-theme-primary-xxs lrv-u-color-black lrv-u-text-transform-uppercase u-letter-spacing-0063 lrv-u-padding-t-050 u-padding-b-0375@tablet lrv-u-padding-b-050@mobile-max lrv-u-border-b-2\">\n<p>\t\tEditor\u2019s picks<\/p>\n<\/h2>\n<\/section>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tCyabra\u2019s report also found some overlap between accounts boosting Minaj\u2019s posts, and those amplifying content from Turning Point USA, the right-wing group founded by Charlie Kirk. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tSpeaking with <em>Politico<\/em>, Cyabra\u2019s CEO and founder, Dan Brahmy, said, \u201cWe don\u2019t really see a lot of high volume, high impact orchestration of bad and fake actors within that intersection of the geopolitically driven and music culture. It is scarce in our field to see the combination of the bad and the fake online world with the entertainment world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tSimilarly, Cyabra found that Minaj\u2019s posts and talking points were being amplified by plenty of authentic accounts, including popular conservative influencers like Dom Lucre and Matt Wallace. Not only were these figures echoing some of Minaj\u2019s political content, they also began sharing some of her music industry grievances, with posts attacking Kendrick Lamar and Universal Music Group CEO Lucian Grainge.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tCyabra\u2019s CEO and founder, Dan Brahmy said this suggested some kind of strategic coordination, saying, \u201cReal human beings are behaving the exact same way, utilizing the exact same behavioral patterns, as you would expect from a well coordinated campaign. They amplify each other. Given that Nicki has had long-standing, public feuds with both Jay-Z\/Roc Nation and Cardi B, this allegation seems to be a 100% fabricated hoax.\u201d\u00a0(G, a partner at United Talent Agency, and Wander both sit on the Cyabra Brand &amp; Entertainment Council.
