That record-setting album\u00a0\u2014 only Pink Floyd<\/a>‘s The Dark Side of the Moon<\/a><\/em> has\u00a0spent more weeks on Billboard<\/em>‘s album chart\u00a0\u2014 influenced every singer-songwriter album that followed, from records by friends Joni Mitchell <\/a>and James Taylor <\/a>to her own string of hit albums throughout the ’70s, as you’ll see in the list below of Carole King Albums Ranked.<\/p>\n Over the decades, King extended her reach, slipping into genres as diverse as country, disco, new wave and Latin music.
