The rest of the clip is spent exploring his career \u2014 from his MTV superstardom to his motorcycle accident in 1990 \u2014 and how he\u2019s lived nine lives. \u201cIt\u2019s easy to say it\u2019s the drugs,\u201d he says in the clip, across animation. \u201cBut what about if it\u2019s me? What about if it\u2019s me doing this?\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tEarlier this week, <em>Billy Idol Should Be Dead<\/em> debuted in theaters in Los Angeles and New York City, with a wide-release planned for Thursday. His Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Fame nod marks the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/rock-hall-of-fame-mariah-carey-phish-oasis-outkast-billy-idol-joy-division-1235264166\/\">second time<\/a> he\u2019s been nominated. Other nominees this year include Phil Collins, Oasis, Sade, Mariah Carey, Pink, Shakira, Iron Maiden, Lauryn Hill, Black Crowes, Jeff Buckley, Melissa Etheridge, Joy Division\/New Order, New Edition, Luther Vandross, and Wu-Tang Clan.
