Radiohead<\/a> have shared a brief statement addressed to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), after the Department of Homeland Security used a choral rendition of their song \u201cLet Down\u201d in an Instagram Reel<\/a>. It reads:<\/p>\n We demand that the amateurs in control of the ICE social media account take it down. It ain\u2019t funny, this song means a lot to us and other people, and you don\u2019t get to appropriate it without a fight.<\/p>\n Also, go fuck yourselves\u2026<\/p>\n Radiohead<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n \u201cLet Down,\u201d an album track from 1997\u2019s OK Computer<\/em>, became Radiohead\u2019s fourth-ever song<\/a> to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 last year. In October, Thom Yorke said<\/a> that the band wouldn\u2019t perform in Israel again while Benjamin Netanyahu is prime minister.<\/p>\n Other artists to have come out against ICE in recent months include Bruce Springsteen, who shared the protest anthem \u201cStreets of Minneapolis<\/a>\u201d following the killings of Alex Pretti and Renee Good by ICE agents, and Zach Bryan, who in October posted a snippet<\/a> of \u201cBad News,\u201d a then-unreleased song from his new album With Heaven on Top<\/em><\/a>, that featured anti-ICE lyrics\u2014though Bryan later hedged his criticisms, writing that the full song would hit \u201con both sides of the aisle.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
