Ellefson Soto<\/strong> released new album Unbreakable<\/em> through Reaper Entertainment on February 13.<\/span><\/p>\n The album features former Megadeth<\/strong> bassist David Ellefson<\/strong> and vocalist Jeff Scott<\/strong> and you can hear the Megadeth<\/strong> influence in the guitars throughout the album. Scott<\/strong>\u2019s vocals are whiskey-soaked and sultry and I love them. <\/span><\/p>\n The titular track opens the album and it\u2019s a brilliant start. It has a cracking breakdown showing off the talents of Ellefson<\/strong> and drummer Paolo Caridi<\/strong>, with guitarist Andy Martongelli<\/strong>\u2019s slick riffs running throughout.<\/span><\/p>\n SOAB<\/em> is angsty and a good song to play after a breakup as it builds you up.<\/span><\/p>\n Throughout the album, the lyrics talk about hate and breaking down relationships. Particularly Hate You, Hate Me<\/em> with lyrics like \u201cI hate the way you make me feel when you\u2019re around. This is the war, you always try to hold me down<\/em>.\u201d And Vengeance<\/em> is another. It\u2019s really in your face musically and lyrically.<\/span><\/p>\n Throughout the album, the guitar riffs are just beautiful and definitely a standout moment. This is particularly true with the instrumental of Ghosts<\/em> as it\u2019s just almost three and a half minutes of stunning guitar work.<\/span><\/p>\n Soto<\/strong> said: \u201cThe energy we poured into this one\u2014it\u2019s the sound of two lifetimes colliding in riffs, rage, and redemption<\/em>,\u201d and he was absolutely right. The entire album is in your face and a sonically masterpiece. <\/span><\/p>\n
