Rock critic Robert Chrisgau <a href=\"https:\/\/www.robertchristgau.com\/xg\/music\/lyrics-che.php\" target=\"_blank\">memorably noted<\/a> that <a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/tags\/bob-dylan\/\">Bob Dylan<\/a>&#8216;s &#8220;My Back Pages&#8221; was &#8220;a bad poem. But it is a good song, supported by a memorable refrain.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, even Dylan has a <a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/worst-classic-rock-songs\/\">bad day<\/a>. He&#8217;s not alone in that, as some of the genre&#8217;s biggest names find a home on our list of Classic Rock&#8217;s 20 Worst Lyrics. Some are bad poetry, while others spark head-scratching confusion. Still others are just plain wrong.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, bad lines are sometimes deliberately included, as with <a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/tags\/alice-cooper\/\">Alice Cooper<\/a> in &#8220;School&#8217;s Out&#8221;: &#8220;<em>We got no principles; we ain&#8217;t got no innocence. We can&#8217;t even think of a word that rhymes<\/em>.&#8221; We&#8217;ve left those aside in favor of far more dubious entries in a countdown of Classic Rock&#8217;s 20 Worst Lyrics.<br \/>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3>No. 20: Van Halen, &#8220;Everybody Wants Some!!&#8221;<\/h3>\n<p>From: <em><a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/van-halen-women-and-children-first\/\">Women and Children First<\/a><\/em> (1980)<\/p>\n<p><strong>The lyric:<\/strong> &#8220;<em>Ya take a moople-ah, wookie pah-a moopie<\/em>,&#8221; maybe?<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/tags\/david-lee-roth\/\">David Lee Roth<\/a> was apparently supposed to sing something that resembled &#8220;<em>I&#8217;ve seen a lot of people take a ride on a moonbeam<\/em>,&#8221; but he forgot the line. Not sure why they left it in.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3>No. 19. Poison, &#8220;Unskinny Bop&#8221;<\/h3>\n<p>From: <em><a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/poison-flesh-blood\/\">Flesh &amp; Blood<\/a><\/em> (1990)<\/p>\n<p><strong>The lyric:<\/strong> &#8220;<em>Unskinny bop bop bop bop, she just loves to play \u2013 unskinny bop, nothin&#8217; more to say<\/em>.&#8221;<br \/>But is there really nothing more to say?<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3>No. 18. Pink Floyd, &#8220;Bike&#8221;<\/h3>\n<p>From: <em><a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/pink-floyd-debut-the-piper-at-the-gates-of-dawn-turns-45\/\">The Piper at the Gates of Dawn<\/a><\/em> (1967)<\/p>\n<p><strong>The lyric:<\/strong> &#8220;<em>I know a mouse and he hasn&#8217;t got a house. I don&#8217;t know why I call him Gerald<\/em>.&#8221;<br \/>Believe it or not, <a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/tags\/syd-barrett\/\">Syd Barrett<\/a> soon became an <a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/nick-mason-pink-floyd-syd-barrett-breakdown\/\">acid casualty<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3>No. 17.
