The British singer made a surprise appearance during one of Peters’ shows at the Forum Melbourne in Australia<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n\tEd Sheeran<\/a> popped by Maisie Peters<\/a>\u2018 concert in Melbourne, Australia, last night to collaborate on an intimate version of Sheeran\u2019s 2017 song \u201cCastle on the Hill.\u201d The duet took place on the opening night of Peters\u2019 current two-night stand at the Forum Melbourne. <\/p>\n

\n\tPeters, who opened for Sheeran<\/a> on tour in 2023, shared a clip of the performance on Instagram and tagged Sheeran. \u201cthank u\u00a0@teddyphotos\u00a0for singing the best song ever with me at my show in Melbourne tonight,\u201d Peters wrote. \u201cstill remember watching you play this one all 60 something gigs we did together, and it was so magical getting to join you on it for one. the best to ever do it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tPeters is on the tail end of her\u00a0Before the Bloom\u00a0Tour in Australia, which is in support of her forthcoming third studio album,\u00a0Florescence<\/em>, is due out May 15. Sheeran, meanwhile, wraps his\u00a0Australian Loop\u00a0Tour tonight at the Adelaide Oval. <\/p>\n

\n\tSheeran and Peters previously performed together at Peters\u2019 2023 headlining show at London\u2019s OVO Arena Wembley. Sheeran made a surprise appearance to play his song \u201cLego House\u201d with Peters, who is signed to his label Gingerbread Man Records. <\/p>\n

\n\tSheeran\u2019s most recent studio album,\u00a0Play<\/em>, arrived in September. The LP was recorded in all the different locations the singer-songwriter visited and completed in Goa, India.\u00a0\u201cPlay<\/em>\u00a0was an album that was made as a direct response to the darkest period of my life,\u201d Sheeran shared in a statement. \u201cComing out of all of that I just wanted to create joy and technicolour, and explore cultures in the countries I was touring.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn November, the singer debuted a Netflix special,\u00a0One Shot With Ed Sheeran<\/a><\/em>, shot with\u00a0Adolescence<\/em>\u00a0director Philip Barantini. The short film shows the singer walking through New York City in real time, playing his songs on subway cars and various spots around the city, and leaving a trail of stunned fans in his wake.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
