Deathcrash<\/strong> released new album Somersaults<\/em> on February 27 through untitled (recs).<\/span><\/p>\n The titular track opens the record with a calming melody and a sort of spoken-sung vocal delivery. In all honesty, it didn\u2019t grab me fully but it\u2019s not a bad song. Lyrically it\u2019s quite cool, reminiscing about childhoods, missing people and being shy.<\/span><\/p>\n CMC<\/em> is a decent song, the acoustic guitar and soft vocals talking about how this life is the best life, and encouraging people to try out new ideas is quite nice.<\/span><\/p>\n The vocal delivery is quite monotone throughout and there\u2019s moments where some of the songs blend in together which is usually something that does put me off an album. I assume it\u2019s part of the sound but in tracks like Stay Forever<\/em>, the vocal delivery sounds like they\u2019d rather be anywhere than recording.<\/span><\/p>\n The album has quite an indie feel and while it\u2019s not a bad record, it\u2019s not the type of album I usually listen to.<\/span><\/p>\n I do quite enjoy the relatability of the lyrics throughout the album though, talking about family, not missing people, and overall being vulnerable. I just wish I was more into the style of music.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
