Cole<\/a> has set the record straight on the rumor that Drake<\/a> originally wanted both him and<\/em> Kendrick Lamar<\/a> on \u201cFirst Person Shooter.\u201d<\/p>\n The Dreamville rapper addressed the speculation on Carmelo Anthony\u2019s 7PM In Brooklyn<\/em> podcast as part of his press run to promote The Fall-Off<\/em><\/a>, revealing that Drizzy initially asked Dot, not him, to jump on the chart-topping track.<\/p>\n \u201cSo, I\u2019m not gonna say we were all supposed to be [on the song]. How it came to me was, before that beat ever made it to me, I think Drake wanted that to be a him and [Kendrick] song,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n Cole then implied that Kendrick snubbed Drake\u2019s request, saying: \u201cMy interpretation is like\u2026 maybe when it wasn\u2019t moving fast enough or he wasn\u2019t getting the response he wanted, maybe he was like, \u2018Let me hit Cole.\u2019 \u2018Cause I think Boi-1da<\/a> was pushing him like, \u2018Bro, you need to hit Cole.\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cI never looked at that song like it was going to be all of us.
