In a new interview on <em>Rolling Stone<\/em>\u2019s <em>Nashville Now <\/em>podcast, Lake says actions outweigh any words.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cI think that\u2019s the problem: People are looking for a statement and not looking at our lives,\u201d Lake says. \u201cJelly Roll isn\u2019t perfect, just like I\u2019m not perfect. But Jelly Roll is trying to use his entire life to advance the kingdom, to do good, to love people. And I know he\u2019s doing that. He\u2019s loved by this community not just because of the songs he written, but because of the things he\u2019s done.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-tiktok wp-block-embed-tiktok\"\/>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tLake, who released the new duet with Lainey Wilson on Good Friday, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=zU4RqJ8jfBc&amp;list=RDzU4RqJ8jfBc&amp;start_radio=1\">\u201cThe Jesus I Know Now,<\/a>\u201d says he admires Jelly Roll for publicly admitting that he doesn\u2019t have all the answers. According to Lake, Jelly Roll is more about \u201ctrying to let [his] life speak louder than just \u2018here\u2019s my statement.\u2019 And that\u2019s what I\u2019m trying to do too.
