Otoboke Beaver<\/a> are back with their first music since 2022\u2019s Super Champon<\/em><\/a>. Their new, three-track single is titled Is the New Album Out Yet?<\/em>, and today, it bursts out of the gates with \u201cI Don\u2019t Need to Be in Your Strike Zone.\u201d Watch the Japanese punk band raise hell in the minutelong track\u2019s video, directed by Haruko Tajima, below.<\/p>\n The maxi single\u2019s other songs\u2014\u201cHey, Where\u2019s the Thank You?\u201d and the title track\u2014will arrive on April 10 and 15, respectively. A physical 4″ vinyl version<\/a> follows on June 10. Since Super Champon<\/em>, the group has released a pair of live<\/a> albums<\/a> and lined up European support dates with Foo Fighters<\/a>. The band says Is the New Album Out Yet?<\/em> is its final release with drummer Kahokiss, who went on maternity leave last year and will retire from band activities after forthcoming shows in Osaka, Tokyo, and Kyoto. New drummer Leo (Emi), formerly of Shonen Knife<\/a>, will replace her.<\/p>\n
