The two Colombian musicians just announced collaborative album <em>Omerta<\/em>. Prior to the announcement, Balvin and Castro have been inseparable this year \u2014 they went to the Grammys together, performed at Premio lo Nuestro 2026, and even teamed up for singles, \u201cTonto\u201d and <a data-id=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-latin\/j-balvin-ryan-castro-new-song-video-pal-agua-1235538320\/\" data-type=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-latin\/j-balvin-ryan-castro-new-song-video-pal-agua-1235538320\/\">\u201cPal Agua.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t<em>Omerta<\/em> arrives on May 7 and marks the pair\u2019s first collaborative project together. A press release confirms that <em>Omerta<\/em> is \u201cbuilt from values that trace back to Medell\u00edn\u201d and is \u201ca chronicle of family, values, and the code that binds them.\u201d Expounding on \u201cthe code,\u201d the release explains, \u201cJ Balvin and Ryan Castro live the code behind [the album]: every verse and rhythm guided by loyalty, respect, and the weight of one\u2019s word.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tIf that brings to mind a mob-like ethos, it\u2019s by design. The visuals for \u201cTonto\u201d and \u201cPal Agua\u201d take inspiration from gangster movies like <em>The Godfather,<\/em> <em>Scarface<\/em>, and <em>Pulp<\/em> <em>Fiction<\/em> with a few goofy nods to <em>Who Framed Roger Rabbit<\/em>. In the videos, Balvin and Castro sport dapper suits, flaunt an extravagant lifestyle, and pledge their loyalty to one another.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tFrom the features to the cinematic world-building, it seems <em>Omerta<\/em> is a next-level project.
