The lyrics were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/ramble-on-rockers-who-love-the-lord-of-the-rings-100787\/\">notably inspired by<\/a> J.R.R. Tolkien\u2019s novel <em>The Lord of the Rings<\/em>, a favorite of host <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/stephen-colbert\/\" id=\"auto-tag_stephen-colbert\" data-tag=\"stephen-colbert\">Stephen Colbert<\/a>. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"\u201cRamble On\u201d - Robert Plant with Saving Grace (LIVE on The Late Show)\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Ca3VI4aGDjc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tPlant began playing with his current band, Saving Grace, in 2019 after he booked a trio of shows at tiny, off-the-radar theaters across England. The group released an album, <em>Saving Grace<\/em>, in 2025, and toured the U.S. last fall. Much of the album was recorded in a field. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tPlant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/robert-plant-album-tour-saving-grace-1235385216\/\">told <em>Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a> of the LP, \u201cIt was an experiment that took me back to\u00a0<em>Physical Graffiti<\/em>\u00a0with Led Zeppelin when I did quite a few vocals outside. I know that\u2019s a very overused word, but that\u2019s how it is. Nothing was riding on it, nobody was thinking beyond maybe putting this record out. Some shows in the U.S. later in the year might be about the zenith of anything that anybody ever imagined really. There\u2019s never any sort of aspiration. \u2026 We\u2019ve got a good thing going on without where there\u2019s no huge imperatives.
