\n\tDays after Offset<\/a> was shot outside<\/a> a Florida casino, the Migos<\/a> rapper has been released from the hospital and is up and walking, a spokesperson confirmed to Rolling Stone.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

\n\tThe 34-year-old, born Kiari Cephus, made his first personal statement on Friday, thanking fans for their well-wishes and support. \u201cI\u2019m good\u2026. but I\u2019m planning to be better,\u201d Offset said in a handwritten letter posted on Instagram.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m focused on my family, my recovery, and getting back to the music,\u201d he added. \u201cRealizing that life is made up of quiet wins and loud losses\u2026 Life\u2019s a gamble and I\u2019m still playing to win.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tOffset sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the shooting outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, on Monday. Local police have not formally charged anyone with the shooting.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, fellow rapper Lil Tjay<\/a>, born Tione Jayden Merritt, was arrested on Tuesday in connection to the incident. The 24-year-old was detained at the scene and charged with disorderly conduct. Merritt was released from custody that same day, according to the Broward County Sheriff\u2019s Office.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tHis attorney, Dawn M. Florio, labeled online speculation that Merritt had further involvement in the shooting as \u201cfalse\u201d and \u201cbaseless rumors.\u201d \u201cLil Tjay been [not] charged with any shooting,\u201d she said in a statement. \u201cAny reporting to the contrary is false,\u201d Florio continued. \u201cWe encourage people to consult trusted news sources, and to verify the accuracy of any reporting.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Seminole Police Department\u00a0has said an investigation is ongoing. <\/p>\n

\n\tOffset and Merritt have history. In January 2025, Merritt accused Offset of having an out-of-control gambling habit, claiming the Migos rapper was \u201cbroke\u201d and owed him $10,000 after he spotted him some cash. \u201cI\u2019ll tell y\u2019all a true story, I seen the n**** in the casino. He was popped, he was panicking,\u201d Merritt said in an Instagram Live. \u201cHe was asking random people for cash apps.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tOffset, whose fellow Migos member Takeoff died in a shooting in 2022<\/a>, has already made good on his promise to focus on music, sharing a snippet of a new track on Friday. <\/p>\n
