It marks the third track from the Mexican icon’s upcoming LP Norte\u00f1a<\/em><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n \n\tJulieta Venegas<\/a>\u00a0has delivered a salve for the times with the help of Yahritza y Su Esencia<\/a> on \u201cLa L\u00ednea.\u201d Across the norte\u00f1o track, the Mexican icon and Mexican-American trio details the painful separation that comes from migration and deportations.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201c\u2018La L\u00ednea\u2019 is about two people who have been separated by a deportation,\u201d\u00a0Julieta said in a press release for the track.\u00a0\u201cA line that seems not to exist changes everything in the lives of many families, couples, loves \u2014 stories that are paused and often cut short for not having been born in the country where they try to build their lives,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n \n\tVenegas continued: \u201cI grew up in Tijuana and have seen how those stories have been changing. Before, when someone was deported, they were seen as if they were a criminal, with the idea that they could only have been deported for having done something illegal. But now people can be considered illegal simply for having arrived from another country.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tIn order to evoke the painful yearning that comes with the song\u2019s subject, the singer tapped Yahritza y Su Esencia<\/a>. The band dealt personally with the challenges of immigration given that Mando, the older brother in the band, had to leave to Mexico for a period of time since he\u2019d been living in the U.S. as an undocumented person. <\/p>\n
