Turnstile<\/a> launched their Friday evening set at Coachella<\/a> with a special message from singer Brendan Yates\u2019 father, Bill Yates, a week after he underwent emergency surgery following a physical attack<\/a> by Brendan\u2019s former bandmate Brady Ebert. Ebert is currently being held<\/a> on attempted murder charges.<\/p>\n Before Yates and his bandmates\u2014Franz Lyons, Daniel Fang, Pat McCrory, and Meg Mills\u2014showed up, Yates\u2019 father appeared on screen and spoke directly to fans:<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m Bill Yates, I\u2019m the proud father of Brendan. They\u2019re all sons of mine. They\u2019ve been practicing in the house for about 13 years now. Just recently they vacated the basement. They\u2019re at a point where there larger the venue the better, because they just enjoy the energy. To all the fans out there, we love you and Turnstile loves you and enjoy the ride.\u201d<\/p>\n Turnstile then appeared on stage and went right into \u201cNever Enough,\u201d the title track off their most recent album<\/a>.
