\n\tAnyma<\/a>\u2018s late-night set at Coachella<\/a> was canceled due to \u201cstrong winds\u201d that hit the festival grounds Friday.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe EDM star was scheduled to take the main stage at midnight Friday, about 90 minutes after Sabrina Carpenter\u2019s headlining set<\/a>. However, the festival announced around 12:15 a.m. that there had been a \u201cscheduling change.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cDue to strong wind conditions affecting Anyma\u2019s stage build, he is unable to perform<\/em>,\u201d organizers and Anyma said in a statement posted on social media. \u201cCoachella & Anyma have made this decision together with your safety<\/em> as the priority.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAnyma added, \u201cI\u2019m sorry everyone. We\u2019ve done everything in our control to build the show I\u2019ve worked an entire year on. Safety always comes first and we\u2019re working on a solution now.\u201d The DJ was set to premiere a new performance titled \u201cAeden\u201d at the festival.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt\u2019s unclear whether Anyma\u2019s first weekend set will be pushed to either Saturday or Sunday. Anyma is also scheduled to perform at Coachella\u2019s second weekend next week.<\/p>\n

\n\tFortunately for festival goers, the \u201cstrong winds\u201d only impacted Friday\u2019s closing set, as the bulk of the first day lineup \u2014 Sabrina Carpenter, Turnstile, the xx, Katseye, and more \u2014 performed without weather warnings.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs of Saturday morning, no weather warnings have been issued for today\u2019s lineup, which includes a headlining set by Justin Bieber as well as the Strokes, David Byrne, Interpol, Addison Rae, Nine Inch Noize, and more.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
