No Doubt guitarist Tom Dumont has revealed his Parkinson\u2019s disease diagnosis, just weeks before the beloved alt rock group is set to take the stage at the Sphere<\/a> in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n In a video message posted to Instagram, Dumont shared how he\u2019s been preparing for the Sphere residency, noting that he\u2019s enjoyed \u201clooking through old photographs and relearning old songs.\u201d He went on to explain how the experience has made him think about \u201chow grateful I am for the life I\u2019ve gotten to lead as a musician all these years.\u201d<\/p>\n Dumont, who joined No Doubt in 1988 and has remained a constant presence in the band ever since, then transitioned to speaking about his health.<\/p>\n \u201cA number of years ago I was experiencing a number of symptoms,\u201d the guitarist explained. \u201cI went to my doctor, I went to a neurologist, did a whole bunch of tests, and I was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson\u2019s disease. It\u2019s been a struggle, it\u2019s a struggle every day.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe good news is I can still play music, I can still play guitar,\u201d Dumont continued. \u201cI\u2019ve been doing really well. I\u2019ve just been very inspired by other people who have come out to talk about their health issues on social media and that sort of thing.
