\n\tThe woman charged with stalking and assaulting <\/a>Fleetwood Mac<\/a>\u2019s former guitarist Lindsey Buckingham<\/a> has been arrested in Indiana, online jail records confirm.<\/p>\n

\n\tMichelle Dick, who had been ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from the musician due to an alleged pattern of stalking, was booked into custody in Allen County on Saturday and is now awaiting extradition to Los Angeles County, the jail records state.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs Rolling Stone<\/em> first reported, Los Angeles prosecutors have charged the 55-year-old with seven criminal counts after she allegedly hurled an unidentified substance<\/a> at Buckingham in Santa Monica on March 25, despite the restraining order barring contact. The felony complaint, first filed April 6, alleges Dick stalked Buckingham between late 2021 and March 25 of this year. The charges include felony counts of making criminal threats, assault with a deadly weapon involving a motor vehicle on March 19, and vandalizing Buckingham\u2019s Mercedes-Benz S450 the same day.<\/p>\n

\n\tDick further faces a separate felony count of making a criminal threat tied to the alleged incident, along with a misdemeanor battery charge. Prosecutors claim Dick also stalked a second victim, identified as Stephanie N., placing her in reasonable fear for her safety. The judge who issued Dick\u2019s arrest warrant in Los Angeles said her local bail would be $300,000.<\/p>\n

\n\tDick started making headlines earlier this month when reports surfaced that a woman had tracked Buckingham to a Santa Monica location and threw a substance at him before fleeing. A law enforcement source said it was unclear if the substance was caustic. Buckingham was not injured.<\/p>\n

\n\tBuckingham sought a restraining order against Dick in November 2024, alleging years of harassment and linking Dick to a \u201cswatting\u201d incident that month. According to court filings, Dick allegedly called 911 and falsely reported that Buckingham\u2019s son was suicidal and that gunshots had been fired at his Brentwood home, prompting a large police response.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWhen I answered the door, I was handcuffed and asked to step outside,\u201d Buckingham wrote in a statement to the court obtained by Rolling Stone<\/em>. \u201cAfter 20 minutes of the police searching my house \u2026 I was let back into my house, shaken and fearful.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAn LAPD detective later contacted Dick using the same number and said she admitted making the call, court filings state. Buckingham alleged the harassment began in 2021 with repeated phone calls, threats, and delusional claims that he was Dick\u2019s father. He also accused Dick of targeting his family and showing up outside his homes in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

\n\tA judge granted the restraining order in December 2024, requiring Dick to stay away from Buckingham, his wife, and his son for five years. She also was ordered to keep her distance from their homes and vehicles.<\/p>\n

\n\tBuckingham told the court that Dick allegedly parked her car outside one of the homes he shares with his wife in 2024. Police followed Dick from the address and later stopped and questioned her, capturing the exchange on a body-worn camera, the filings say.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cShe began rambling about me being her father and suffocating her as a child,\u201d Buckingham wrote. He said subsequent threats on Instagram were directed at his wife. \u201cThis incident terrified my wife as she feared for her safety. Given that Ms. Dick also knows my home address, I am terrified as well,\u201d he wrote. (A rep for Buckingham did not respond to a request for comment on Monday.)<\/p>\n

\n\tBuckingham joined Fleetwood Mac in 1974 along with Stevie Nicks, his partner in the American folk-rock duo Buckingham Nicks. He wrote and sang many of their most memorable songs, including \u201cGo Your Own Way,\u201d \u201cTusk,\u201d and \u201cSecond Hand News.\u201d Buckingham had an\u00a0acrimonious split from the band<\/a>\u00a0in 2018 amid an alleged disagreement over the timing of a world tour.<\/p>\n

\n\tLast month, he gave a sneak peek at his plans for 2026<\/a>\u00a0via a post on Instagram. \u201cI am still very, very grounded in my creative life,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019ve been working on a new solo album for the last couple of years, which is one song away from being finished.\u201d He said the upcoming\u00a0Fleetwood Mac documentary\u00a0<\/a>may arrive this year, and he appeared to hint at some type of reunion with\u00a0Stevie Nicks<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
