\n\tAfter years of expressing distain for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame<\/a>, Liam Gallagher<\/a> has called the announcement of Oasis<\/a>\u2018 induction this year \u201ca real honor.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tIn a series of tweets, Gallagher responded to Oasis being invited to join<\/a> the institution alongside Phil Collins, Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, Joy Division\/New Order, Sade, Luther Vandross, and Wu-Tang Clan. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cReverse psychology vibes in the area Oasis RnR hall of farmers I mean famers,\u201d Gallagher tweeted early Tuesday morning. \u201cI wanna thank all the people who voted for us it\u2019s a real honour ever since I was a little kid and singing in the shower I\u2019d dream about 1 day being in the RnR hall of fame it\u2019s true what they say anything is possible if you have a dream.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tWhen a fan asked \u201cWhat happened to not wanting to be in it?,\u201d Gallagher replied, \u201cWell I was speaking to my mummy last night when the news broke and she thinks I may have been a little hasty with my perception of the organization she\u2019s told me to stop being a dick and go to the awards and behave and you never know you might enjoy it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIt\u2019s unclear if he\u2019s being sarcastic (he probably is), but the comments are in contrast to how Gallagher has spoken about the Rock Hall in the past. In 2024, when Oasis was nominated for the first time, he told\u00a0The Sunday Times<\/em>, \u201cAs much as I love Mariah Carey and all that, I want to say: Do me a favor and fuck off. It\u2019s like putting me in the rap hall of fame, and I don\u2019t want to be part of anything that mentally disturbed. Besides, I\u2019ve done more for rock & roll than half of them clowns on that board, so it\u2019s all a load of bollocks.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThat same year, he wrote on social media, \u201cFuck the Rock n Roll hall of fame its full of BUMBACLARTS LG. You know it I don\u2019t need some wank award by some geriatric in a cowboy hat.\u201d He also told fans not to bother voting because \u201cas much as it\u2019s appreciated it\u2019s all a load of bollox.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLast year, Gallagher also dismissed the band\u2019s nomination<\/a>, tweeting, \u201cRNR hall of fame is for WANKERS.\u201d Another fan replied asking \u201cWhat are you gonna do if you win?\u201d Gallagher responded, \u201cObv go and say it\u2019s the best thing EVER.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on Nov. 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. It will air on ABC and Disney+ the following month.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
