{"id":62392,"date":"2026-04-14T12:39:45","date_gmt":"2026-04-14T12:39:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/musicianvoice.com\/index.php\/2026\/04\/14\/zakk-wylde-reveals-the-song-that-was-cut-from-ozzys-final-show\/"},"modified":"2026-04-14T12:39:45","modified_gmt":"2026-04-14T12:39:45","slug":"zakk-wylde-reveals-the-song-that-was-cut-from-ozzys-final-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/musicianvoice.com\/index.php\/2026\/04\/14\/zakk-wylde-reveals-the-song-that-was-cut-from-ozzys-final-show\/","title":{"rendered":"Zakk Wylde Reveals the Song That Was Cut From Ozzy&#8217;s Final Show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Guitarist <a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/tags\/zakk-wylde\/\">Zakk Wylde<\/a> has revealed the song that was originally meant to be included in <a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/tags\/ozzy-osbourne\/\">Ozzy Osbourne<\/a>\u2019s final concert, yet ended up being cut.<\/p>\n<p>During a recent appearance on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thevinylguide.com\/episodes\/ep544-zakk-wylde-ozzys-final-chapter-panteras-future-and-black-label-society\" target=\"_blank\">Vinyl Guide podcast<\/a>, Wylde \u2013 who served as Osbourne\u2019s guitarist for nearly 40 years \u2013 discussed his experience at last year\u2019s star-studded Back to the Beginning concert, which served as a celebration of both Ozzy and <a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/tags\/black-sabbath\/\">Black Sabbath<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>When host Nate Goyer asked if there were any songs that\u00a0were rehearsed\u00a0but ultimately didn\u2019t get played during the show, Wylde offered up one.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah, we were going to do \u2018No More Tears,\u2019\u201d the guitarist responded. \u201cOz was like, if I&#8217;m up for it, if I can do it, we&#8217;ll do \u2018No More Tears\u2019. So, yeah, we did it in rehearsals.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ MORE:<\/strong>\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/ozzy-osbourne-albums-ranked\/\">Ranking Every Ozzy Osbourne Album<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Despite practicing the song, which served as the title track for Osbourne\u2019s 1991 album, the singer decided to call an audible during his Back to the Beginning set.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat day, as he looked over at me, he goes, \u2018No, Zakk. We&#8217;ll just do \u2018Mama [I\u2019m Coming Home.\u2019 And then we&#8217;ll end it with \u2018Crazy Train,\u2019\u201d the guitarist recalled. \u201cIt was Ozzy&#8217;s call. (4:27) If he felt he could do it, we [would have played it].\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Zakk Wylde Envisioned More Back to the Beginning Shows<\/h3>\n<p>Osbourne <a href=\"https:\/\/ultimateclassicrock.com\/ozzy-osbourne-dies\/\">died<\/a> just 17 days after Back to the Beginning. Wylde admitted he didn\u2019t expect to lose the rock legend so soon, and instead was envisioning more Back to the Beginning shows to be scheduled.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just figured we&#8217;d be working on another record.
