Carrie Underwood<\/a>\u00a0brought two Idols together during\u00a0American Idol<\/a><\/em>‘s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Night on Monday (Apr. 13.)<\/p>\n She brought out legendary rocker Billy Idol for a performance of “Rebel Yell” during the show, trading verses \u2014 and rafter-raising howls \u2014 with the new Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee.<\/p>\n Watch Carrie Underwood Sing With Billy Idol on\u00a0American Idol<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Underwood came out to sing solo, but there was a clue that Idol was going to be the surprise guest. Legendary guitarist Steve Stevens, who played on Idol’s original\u00a0Rebel Yell\u00a0<\/em>album and several other studio projects, was onstage performing with her.<\/p>\n Stevens \u2014 who’s also known for playing lead guitar on the\u00a0Top Gun<\/em> theme \u2014 gave a rollicking guitar solo during the performance.<\/p>\n But of course, the biggest shock of the performance was when Idol himself walked onstage.
