Last night, Wilco<\/a> frontman Jeff Tweedy<\/a> joined Hayley Williams<\/a>\u2019 band on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert<\/em> to perform Unknown Mortal Orchestra\u2019<\/a>s 2010 song,\u00a0\u201cFfunny Ffrends<\/a>.\u201d Fittingly, Tweedy also gave a pre-show interview with his best friend, actor Nick Offerman. Watch the conversation and performance below.<\/p>\n Tweedy\u2019s friendship with Offerman began when the actor cast the Wilco frontman as a \u201cwashed-up Midwestern rocker\u201d on the show Parks & Recreation<\/em>. Colbert also pried about the pair\u2019s friendship with the author George Saunders, asking for an invite the next time the three hang out. \u201cThat\u2019s what we\u2019re here to figure out,\u201d Tweedy said, laughing. The conversation marks Tweedy\u2019s second interview on Colbert<\/em> since October 2025, when Tweedy sat down<\/a> to promote his solo album, Twilight Override<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n Tweedy and Williams are currently in tour mode. On April 23, Tweedy will embark on a summer trek across North America and Europe with Wilco, supporting the release of a massive deluxe edition of the band\u2019s 2004 album, A Ghost is Born<\/em>. Meanwhile, Williams has been making stops across North America on a solo tour since March.
