Axel Willner\u2019s the Field<\/a> is back. Now You Exist<\/em>, his first album since 2018\u2019s Infinite Moment<\/em>, arrives May 15 through Studio Barnhus. The Swedish producer\u2019s new record hovers around 40 minutes and features five songs of meditative ambient techno and drone.<\/p>\n

Based in Berlin, Willner produces under several aliases\u2014including Lars Blek, Hands, and Loops of Your Heart\u2014yet he is best known for his work as the Field, which he started in 2003. In the eight years since his last album, Willner has kept busy self-releasing music on Bandcamp under his full name. In a press statement, he described his most recent album, 2024\u2019s COMMUNICATION pt. 1-7<\/a>, as musical fragments \u201crecorded in the studio with a mobile phone throughout the past 10 years.\u201d<\/p>\n
