His mental health has severely deteriorated, his financial situation is terrible, and his drug dependency is at its worst,\u201d the new filings made this week in Los Angeles County probate court and obtained by <em>Rolling Stone<\/em> allege.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tCher claims her son\u2019s life has spiraled since she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/cher-conservatorship-filing-elijah-blue-allman-1234937229\/\">first sought conservatorship control<\/a>\u00a0over his finances in a December 2023 bid that ended with a private settlement. In her prior effort, Cher told the court that Allman \u201curgently needed\u201d help managing his assets amid \u201csevere mental health and substance abuse issues.\u201d\u00a0Cher was initially rebuffed by the judge and ultimately <a data-id=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/cher-conservatorship-son-elijah-blue-allman-1235101811\/\" data-type=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/cher-conservatorship-son-elijah-blue-allman-1235101811\/\">resolved the matter privately<\/a> in September 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tSince that time, Allman has bounced between \u201cexpensive hotels\u201d and short-term rental homes, allegedly causing more than $50,000 in damage to one AirBnB, and purportedly racking up an $18,000 bill with a drug dealer, the new filings state.  He\u2019s also facing criminal charges in two counties in New Hampshire.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tAllman was arrested on Feb. 27 at St. Paul\u2019s School in Concord on suspicion of trespassing, criminal threats, and simple assault, a bail order obtained by <em>Rolling Stone<\/em> confirms. According to <em>WMUR 9 News<\/em>, Allman allegedly slipped onto campus claiming he was a prospective parent, turned belligerent, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wmur.com\/article\/cher-elijah-allman-st-pauls-school-arrest\/70588358\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">poked a student<\/a> with his cane. Allman was booked and released, then arrested again two days later on a burglary rap in Windham, N.H., after a woman called police saying someone had broken through her back door, and she was \u201chiding in a closet,\u201d according to a police affidavit obtained by <em>Rolling Stone<\/em>. However, the facts underlying this petition are not only relevant to establish the proposed conservatee\u2019s total inability to manage his finances, but the facts also establish that he is gravely disabled,\u201d Cher\u2019s conservatorship request states. It adds that a more thorough conservatorship over Allman\u2019s personal life likely would be \u201cappropriate for him once he returns to California.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe new documents say Elijah still receives $120,000 a month via a trust his father Gregg set up prior to the Allman Brothers Band singer\u2019s death. That monthly payment is then \u201cimmediately squandered without regard for his liabilities or well-being,\u201d the court filing says.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cThere is a clear pattern in Elijah\u2019s behavior,\u201d Cher alleged. \u201cAfter he receives his trust distribution, he checks into a hotel, usually the Chateau Marmont, buys and does drugs until he runs out of money, ends up in the hospital or overdoses.
