The project features three new alt-pop tracks, two of which the singer debuted at Coachella last week<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n\tMar\u00eda Zardoya is ushering in spring with new EP Bloom<\/em>, which she released under her solo moniker Not for Radio<\/a>. It finds the singer shaking the frost from her winter album Melt<\/a><\/em> and stepping into a sun-soaked garden with three new tracks \u201cKitten,\u201d \u201cAche,\u201d and \u201cLiving Room.\u201d Last week, Zardoya live debuted \u201cKitten\u201d and \u201cAche\u201d during her bewitching solo Coachella performance. She previously performed \u201cLiving Room\u201d for her Winter in the Garden tour<\/a> earlier this year.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn an Instagram post<\/a> announcing the surprise \u201cmini EP\u201d a couple of days ago, the singer revealed that the project would be her last release under Not for Radio \u201cfor a while.\u201d She also clarified that the live version of \u201cComet,\u201d which she debuted on tour, will be released on a limited-edition, flower-shaped vinyl version of Bloom<\/em>. The vinyl will also feature a Not for Radio version of the Mar\u00eda\u2019s hit song \u201cNo One Noticed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe EP comes as Zardoya kicks off the European leg of her tour for Melt<\/em>. She will hit major cities including London, Paris, and Milan, among others, performing as Not for Radio.<\/p>\n

\n\tLast year, Zardoya discussed venturing into her solo act with Role Model (Tucker Pillsbury) for Rolling Stone<\/em>\u2018s Musicians on Musicians <\/a>cover story. \u201cI was like, \u2018I think I want to put myself in a really uncomfortable situation and try to make music outside of the band. And I think I want to go somewhere really cold and snowy. Maybe upstate New York,’\u201d she said, referring to the place where Melt<\/em> was recorded. \u201cI had made music with the Mar\u00edas in L.A. for so long. And I\u2019m an island girlie. I\u2019m from Puerto Rico. I love the warmth. And I wanted intentionally to be uncomfortable and see what would happen from that discomfort,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
