\n\tKanye West<\/a>\u2019s planned concert in Poland<\/a> this June has been canceled, the latest in a string of European countries blocking the rapper from performing due to his antisemitic comments and praising of Nazism.<\/p>\n

\n\tWest was controversially scheduled<\/a> to headline all three nights of London\u2019s Wireless festival until his visa was rejected<\/a> by U.K. officials, resulting in the cancellation of the fest<\/a>. West was similarly booked to perform in Marseille, France in June before postponing the gig<\/a> amid backlash and a potential ban<\/a> from that country.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe rapper was also slated to perform June 19 in Chorzow, Poland, but organizers announced Friday that the gig has been canceled. \u201cWe would like to inform you that the Ye (Kanye West) concert planned for 19 June 2026 at the\u2026 Slaski stadium will not take place due to formal and legal reasons,\u201d Slaski Stadium Director Adam Strzyzewski said in a statement (via Reuters<\/a>).<\/p>\n

\n\tPoland Culture Minister Marta Cienkowska wrote on social media<\/a> of the planned West gig, \u201cIn a country scarred by the history of the Holocaust, we cannot pretend that this is just entertainment. Artistic freedom does not mean giving a free pass to everything. Culture cannot be a space for those who exploit it to spread hatred.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tCienkowska continued, \u201cWe are talking about an artist who has publicly expressed antisemitic views, downplayed crimes, and profited from selling swastika T-shirts. These are not \u2018controversies.\u2019 This is a deliberate crossing of boundaries and the normalization of hatred.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tA rep for West did not immediately respond to Rolling Stone<\/em>\u2018s request for comment. West has not yet commented on the Poland cancellation. <\/p>\n

My fans are everything to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWest launched an\u00a0apology tour<\/a>\u00a0for his past behavior in January with a full-page\u00a0Wall Street Journal\u00a0<\/em>ad. \u201cI owe a huge apology once again for everything that I said that hurt the Jewish and Black communities in particular,\u201d it said. \u201cAll of it went too far.\u201d The ad paved the way for his\u00a0Bully<\/em><\/a>\u00a0album, which released in March. Despite the rapper\u2019s controversial behavior, he sold out a pair of Los Angeles stadium shows<\/a> and his album debuted at\u00a0Number Two on the\u00a0Billboard<\/em>\u00a0200<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
