The band has dates scheduled in Australia this November, and they\u2019re not about to disappoint their fans.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cAs the most observant have already noticed, the band will be on tour in Australia around the November date of the Induction ceremony for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/rock-and-roll-hall-of-fame\/\" id=\"auto-tag_rock-and-roll-hall-of-fame\" data-tag=\"rock-and-roll-hall-of-fame\">Rock and Roll Hall of Fame<\/a> in Los Angeles,\u201d manager Rod Smallwood said in a statement on Thursday. \u201cIn accepting, Iron Maiden made it very clear to the R&amp;R HoF that the fans always come first and that the shows will of course go on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on Nov. 14, square between Maiden\u2019s dates in Sydney and Melbourne. The band has been eligible for induction since 2005.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tAlthough the group\u2019s six touring band members will be Down Under, there is the possibility that three Maiden members could show up. Drummer Nicko McBrain, who joined the band in 1982 and retired from touring in 2024, might be available. Similarly, guitarist Dennis Stratton, who played only on the band\u2019s self-titled debut in 1980, appears to have a free schedule, as does singer Blaze Bayley, the band\u2019s frontman on <em>The X Factor <\/em>(1995) and <em>Virtual XI<\/em> (1998).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tA rep for Iron Maiden did not immediately respond to <em>Rolling Stone\u2019s <\/em>request for comment about whether or not McBrain would attend. Similarly, reps for Bayley and Stratton did not respond.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cI\u2019m waking up \u2026 to lots of msgs congratulating me on being inducted into the RNRHOF,\u201d Stratton wrote on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dennisstratton.com\/single-post\/rock-roll-hall-of-fame-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">his website<\/a> when it was announced he was among the members who\u2019d be inducted. \u201cI would just like to say that I feel very proud and honoured to be part of this fantastic band. I just hope I get something to hang on the wall to remind me of this great achievement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tAlthough the band has been dismissive of the Rock Hall in the past, Smallwood issued a statement upon news of the band\u2019s induction on Monday thanking the institution. \u201cWe\u2019d like to thank the Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Fame for including us (and former members who were all part of our story) in the 2026 roll call of inductees,\u201d he said. \u201cIron Maiden have always been about our relationship with our fans above anything else, including awards and industry accolades. They need to stop taking Prozac and start drinking fucking beer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tIn 2019, the band\u2019s bassist and founding member, Steve Harris, told <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/iron-maiden-interview-steve-harris-legacy-beast-tour-858230\/\">Rolling Stone<\/a><\/em> the fact that the band wasn\u2019t yet inducted at the time didn\u2019t bother him. \u201cI don\u2019t mind that we\u2019re not in things like that,\u201d he said. \u201cI don\u2019t think about things like that. It\u2019s very nice if people give you awards or accolades, but we didn\u2019t get into the business for that sort of thing. I\u2019m certainly not going to lose sleep if we don\u2019t get any sort of award, not just that one, any award. I don\u2019t think we deserve to have this or that necessarily. With what we do, whatever comes of it is great.
