\n\tKarol G<\/a> closed out her second historic Coachella set<\/a> with a bang. After becoming the first Latina to headline<\/a> the festival in weekend one, the Colombian superstar used her moment in weekend two to announce her next big move: a highly-anticipated tour in support of her fourth studio album, Tropicoqueta<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring Karol\u2019s blow-out final number, \u201cProvenza,\u201d the giant screens behind her flashed a message in orange: \u201cNos Vamos de Tour<\/em>,\u201d which translates to, \u201cWe\u2019re going on tour.\u201d The Colombian star directed everyone to look at the screens as she screamed the same message into the microphone.<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring a recent interview on Call Her Daddy<\/a>,<\/em> Karol hinted that she\u2019d been planning a tour, but put it aside to prepare her Coachella<\/a> set. \u201cWe were talking about starting the tour, but then I was like, \u2018Let\u2019s stop everything and let\u2019s just focus about this,’\u201d she told host Alex Cooper. Since Karol released Tropicoqueta<\/em> in June 2025, fans have been clamoring for news on what she\u2019ll do to follow the record-breaking<\/a> Ma\u00f1ana Ser\u00e1 Bonito\u00a0<\/em><\/a>tour of 2023-2024.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition to her major news, Karol G also brought her hometown of Medell\u00edn, Colombia, to Indio, California, with two very special guests<\/a>: J Balvin<\/a> and Ryan Castro<\/a>. The stars\u2019 appearance served to honor Colombian reggaeton\u2019s beginnings and the genre\u2019s future in the country. It also marked a full-circle moment for Balvin, who joined Karol onstage for her first Coachella performance back in 2022<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tBalvin took the stage first to perform through his hits \u201cAy Vamos,\u201d \u201cGinza,\u201d and \u201cLa Canci\u00f3n,\u201d before Castro joined and the pair cycled through a medley of collaborations and Castro\u2019s hits. It was perfect timing: Balvin and Castro are set to release a joint album, Omerta<\/a><\/em>, in the coming weeks on May 8.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFor me, it was about who are the ones that to perform their song in the show is going to be a very special moment for my fans,\u201d Karol told Alex Cooper. \u201cI want to bring someone that has made, like, a statement for life, you know, a legacy, a pioneer of of what we do and why we\u2019re here,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

\n\tEarlier in the night, Mexican pride was apparent in the crowd when Peso Pluma joined Karol onstage to sing their 2023 hit \u201cQlona,\u201d<\/a> and Becky G returned to perform \u201cMamii\u201d with her once more. Last week, for weekend one<\/a>, the Colombian superstar\u2019s special guests included reggaet\u00f3n pioneer\u00a0Wisin<\/a>, Puerto Rican singer Mariah Angeliq, Becky G, and\u00a0Cigarettes\u00a0After Sex<\/a>\u00a0singer-guitarist Greg Gonzales, with whom she performed new song \u201cDespu\u00e9s de Ti.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI really prepared myself that time to create a show that meant so much to people and was about honoring my Latina community,\u201d Karol told Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a> shortly after she was announced as a Coachella headliner. \u201cI wanted to be the representation for the community on that stage and with my show.\u201d With her final, hora loca<\/em> performance, the star did just that.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
