Jelly Roll<\/a>‘s weight loss journey has been full steam ahead over the past three years. He’s seemingly never faltered, and his results have been dramatic.<\/p>\n

But recently, the singer hit a rough patch with his diet and exercise regimen.<\/p>\n

Jelly opened up about\u00a0his setback in a vlog<\/a>\u00a0where he also stepped on the scale for the first time in a while, and revealed that he’s gained nearly 12 pounds. Now, he’s rededicating himself to reaching his goal weight, which he says is still about 40-50 pounds away.<\/p>\n

Why Did Jelly Roll Hit a Setback in His Weight Loss Journey?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Jelly says he started to take his foot off the gas right after achieving a major weight loss milestone: Getting a cover story in the January issue of\u00a0Men’s Health<\/em>.<\/p>\n

That’s a goal he spent a year working toward.<\/a>\u00a0When he finally hit it \u2014 two months ahead of schedule, no less \u2014 Jelly was headed into the holiday season, and he decided to treat himself.<\/p>\n

“I was like, ‘You know what, man, I’ve been working hard for the past three years losing this weight.’ I said, ‘I’m gonna enjoy the holidays.'”<\/p>\n

“I ate a big Thanksgiving meal and I ate a big birthday meal and I ate a big Christmas meal,” he continues. “And I kinda got off the rails.”<\/p>\n

Things got worse when the singer broke his collarbone<\/a>\u00a0a few days before Christmas, and was unable to exercise the way he had been.<\/p>\n

“I said all that to say, I have, to some degree, lost my way,” Jelly admits, saying that even though being on the cover of\u00a0Men’s Health<\/em> was a big milestone, he wasn’t yet down to his goal weight when he posed for the cover shoot.<\/p>\n

“It was not the weight I wanted to get to to be at maintenance,” he continues. “I’m still about 40 or 50 pounds, maybe 60 [away from my goal weight.]”<\/p>\n

How Much Does Jelly Roll Weigh Today?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Jelly says he weighed in at 265 pounds the day he shot his\u00a0Men’s Health<\/em> cover.<\/p>\n

But he also says he hasn’t been checking his weight recently.<\/p>\n

“I haven’t weighed in. I’ve been avoiding the scale,” Jelly admits. “I’m afraid to see what the scale’s gonna say from what my actual goal weight is.”<\/p>\n

Jelly stepped on the scale on camera during his vlog, revealing his current number: 276.2 pounds.<\/p>\n

“So we’re up 12 pounds,” he says in the video.<\/p>\n

Despite his setback, Jelly’s not giving up. In fact, he’s already got a new goal in mind.<\/p>\n

“We set the new goal of training for the New York City Marathon in November,” he states. “I wanna get these last 40 or 50 pounds off. And then I eventually wanna cut my skin<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

He’s got a new goal related to magazine cover shoots, too.<\/p>\n

“I eventually want to appear on the cover of something crazy like\u00a0GQ<\/em>, or\u00a0Rolling Stone<\/em> or\u00a0Vanity Fair<\/em> or\u00a0Forbes<\/em> or\u00a0TIME<\/em> with my shirt off,” Jelly says. “And it gets real silly now, but I don’t know. I just believe that there’s this story where a guy can go from 560 pounds to a shirt off picture.”<\/p>\n
