{"id":63310,"date":"2026-04-26T18:12:04","date_gmt":"2026-04-26T18:12:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/musicianvoice.com\/index.php\/2026\/04\/26\/see-the-setlist-from-george-jones-final-concert-performance\/"},"modified":"2026-04-26T18:12:04","modified_gmt":"2026-04-26T18:12:04","slug":"see-the-setlist-from-george-jones-final-concert-performance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/musicianvoice.com\/index.php\/2026\/04\/26\/see-the-setlist-from-george-jones-final-concert-performance\/","title":{"rendered":"See the Setlist From George Jones&#8217; Final Concert Performance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tasteofcountry.com\/tags\/george-jones\/\">George Jones<\/a> played the final live show of his long career just days before his death in 2013, and his setlist included the most classic hits from across his decades-long career, ending appropriately with &#8220;He Stopped Loving Her Today.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The 81-year-old country icon performed his final concert on April 6, 2013, at the\u00a0Knoxville Civic Coliseum in Knoxville, Tenn., and while the fans in attendance did not know they were witnessing history, Jones himself did.<\/p>\n<p>Nashville&#8217;s <em>Tennessean<\/em> newspaper reported that Jones went backstage and told his wife, Nancy,\u00a0&#8220;I just did my last show. And I gave &#8217;em hell.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Video from that night shows Jones clearly struggling to breathe and deliver the songs, and he pauses and lets the audience carry him in singing along multiple times. He even performs seated, but it doesn&#8217;t appear to matter to the fans, who cheer him on at every moment:<\/p>\n<p>Jones entered the hospital the following morning, and he never returned home.
