Foo Fighters<\/a> were the musical guests on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert<\/em> last night (April 4). Before the performance of a pair of songs\u2014\u201cWindow\u201d and \u201cCaught in the Echo\u201d\u2014Dave Grohl joined Colbert to discuss the end of Nirvana<\/a>, the origins of Foo Fighters\u2019 31-year career, and the advice he would give to daughter Violet Grohl, whom he has helped springboard into a career as a rock-pop star. Grohl went on to share anecdotes about the latest Foos album, the But Here We Are<\/em><\/a> follow-up Your Favorite Toy<\/em><\/a>, which he helped promote on a day off by hiding CDs with a bunch of unreleased music around the San Fernando Valley area. The band is preparing to head out on a stadium tour<\/a> this summer.<\/p>\n
