After resurfacing with the nebulous \u201cTape 05<\/a>\u201d last month, Boards of Canada<\/a> have shared the opening suite of their new album, Inferno<\/em><\/a>. Comprising two songs in the vintage BoC tradition, \u201cIntroit\u201d and \u201cProphecy at 1420 MHz\u201d also arrive with a new video that advances the staticky VHS aesthetic and cultish symbolism introduced in the album\u2019s monthlong teaser campaign<\/a>. Watch the Robert Beatty-directed short below, before the album drops on May 29 via Warp<\/a>.<\/p>\n Inferno<\/em> is Boards of Canada\u2019s first album in 13 years, following Tomorrow\u2019s Harvest<\/em><\/a>. Since then, the brothers Mike Sandison and Marcus Eoin have trickled out occasional remixes<\/a> and archival<\/a> reissues<\/a>, as well as an NTS DJ mix<\/a>. The duo has announced seven album premiere parties on May 22\u2014dubbed the Inferno Sessions\u2014in Tokyo, Berlin, Barcelona, London, Glasgow, New York, and Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
