\n\tGracie Abrams<\/a> will release her third studio album, Daughter From Hell<\/em>, on July 17, the singer-songwriter announced Monday. Abrams co-produced and co-wrote the album with longtime collaborator Aaron Dessner<\/a>. The album, her follow-up to 2024\u2019s The Secret of Us<\/a><\/em>, will feature the first single \u201cHit the Wall,\u201d which drops Thursday (May 14).\u00a0 \u201cI love it with everything I have,\u201d Abrams wrote online of the song.\u00a0 <\/p>\n \n\tThe sessions with Dessner were squeezed in between tour dates. \u201cAaron and I are catching each other in these little pockets between hectic times,\u201d she told <\/a>Billboard<\/em>. \u201cEvery day that I live with the music, things start to become a little clearer. There\u2019s something we\u2019re starting to crack that is making both of us feel energized \u2026 I\u2019ve just been trying to take the pressure off myself to have to reinvent. I hope that I don\u2019t get in my own way so much.\u201d The track listing for the new album is still unannounced, but Abrams has debuted several new songs onstage, including \u201cCrazy Girl,\u201d \u201cOut of Nowhere,\u201d \u201cDeath Wish,\u201d and \u201cIt Doesn\u2019t Sit Right.\u201d<\/p>\n Abrams told Nylon she deliberately took her time on the new music, following Taylor Swift\u2019s example. \u201cI am inspired by Taylor in a million ways, but especially by the pace with which she puts things out into the world,\u201d she said<\/a>. \u201cThere\u2019s less pressure the more you release \u2014 that\u2019s how I consider it for myself. I want to just keep it coming while I\u2019m in this period of writing as frequently as I am. I think it would be a waste to not be open.\u201d<\/p>\n
