Malone poured one out for the alternative pop artist, who died in a helicopter crash in Brazil earlier this week<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
\n\tPost Malone<\/a> paid the ultimate tribute to Oliver Tree<\/a>, pouring one out for him at his Toronto concert on June 16 at Rogers Stadium. Dedicating the show to Tree, Malone said it was \u201ca celebration of the life of an absolutely beautiful, beautiful man.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tBorn Oliver Tree Nickell, the left-of-center pop artist was known for his viral songs \u201cLife Goes On\u201d and \u201cAlien Boy.\u201d\u00a0He was among six people killed when two helicopters<\/a>\u00a0crashed into each other in Rio de Janeiro. He was 32.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\t\u201c[Oliver Tree was a] gentlemen I knew and was so beautiful, and inspired the world with his art \u2026 We lost a beautiful soul,\u201d Malone told the crowd. He turned his attention toward the sky and said, \u201cI just want you to know dude that we love you so very much \u2026 We\u2019re just gonna have a great night and celebrate this gentleman.\u201d He then took his beer and poured it out onto the stage.<\/p>\n \n\tMelanie Martinez also paid tribute to Tree<\/a>, whom she dated from 2019 to 2020. \u201cIt\u2019s really hard to understand how someone who you once shared such a specific and formative time of your life with can all of a sudden be gone,\u201d she wrote in an Instagram story. \u201cHe was so dedicated to his art which I admired and respected so deeply \u2026 Rest in peace Oliver. I know you\u2019re making the angels giggle.\u201d Bebe Rexha, Kid Cudi, and T-Pain were also among the musicians who paid tribute to Tree. \u201cFuck man,\u201d\u00a0Kid Cudi wrote on X<\/a>. \u201cSpoke to Oliver a few weeks ago. This is heartbreaking. A really amazing and beautiful human. This shit sucks bad.\u201d<\/p>\n
