The B-52’s<\/a> and Devo<\/a> will continue their lunar alliance with more tour dates together this fall.<\/p>\n The new wave legends have added eight additional shows to the ongoing Cosmic De-Evolution<\/em><\/a> outing starting Sept. 17 in the Chicago area suburb of Tinley Park, Illinois. The latest concerts are presently set to wrap with a Halloween show in Palm Desert, California on Oct. 31.<\/p>\n Devo revealed the newest concerts via a post on X<\/a> and shared that tickets will go on sale Friday (June 26). More\u00a0information will be available at the band’s official website<\/a> and you can see all of the dates below.<\/p>\n Both bands have been doing some dates together overseas in the U.K., Scotland and Germany in recent days. They’ve been actively playing live separately as well. The B-52’s performed a series of concerts at the Venetian in Las Vegas in April.<\/p>\n Though the band indicated in recent years<\/a> that Devo might be done as a touring act, they’ve returned to a relatively busy schedule — including a highly regarded documentary<\/a> that was released in 2024. The Akron, Ohio-bred group launched their 22-date Mutate, Don’t Stagnate<\/a><\/em> run earlier this year. It’s a trek, which he says comes with a particular message.<\/p>\n \u201cMutate, don\u2019t stagnate means we are what we are,\u201d Mothersbaugh told American Songwriter<\/em><\/a> in March. \u201cWe\u2019re an odd species, but we\u2019re smart enough to recognize how important the planet is and realize that we don\u2019t really want to melt it down and kill everything and turn it into Mars. We\u2019re still having a good time, and it\u2019s still wonderful to look into the audience,” vocalist Cindy Wilson told\u00a0Classic Pop<\/em><\/a>\u00a0in a 2025 conversation. “Seeing those happy faces and people grooving \u2013 that\u2019ll keep you going, right there! You think we would be over it by now, but it\u2019s a lot of fun.\u201d<\/p>\n They teamed up with Devo and decided to tour together after the two bands helped Saturday Night Live<\/em><\/a> celebrate its 50th anniversary last year<\/a>. The pairing has proved to be a good match.<\/p>\n \u201cWe complement each other well.
