Bailey Zimmerman<\/a> is speaking out after an arrest warrant was issued in New Mexico stemming from allegations that he caused more than $16,000 in damage to a hotel room.<\/p>\n

The country singer released a statement through his attorney<\/a> on Tuesday (June 23), apologizing to the Pueblo of Sandia, Sandia Resort & Casino, and fans who were impacted when he canceled a scheduled performance in May.<\/p>\n

I want to address the events surrounding my canceled show in New Mexico in May and the reports that have followed. First things first, I want to apologize to the Pueblo of Sandia and to everyone at Sandia Resort & Casino. I never meant for any of this to come across as disrespectful. I am deeply sorry for my actions that transpired.<\/em><\/p>\n

I respect your community and the hospitality and appreciate the opportunity that was given to me to perform on Native Land. I take full accountability for everything that happened and I am sorry to anyone who feels hurt or disrespected.<\/em><\/p>\n

To my fans who bought tickets and showed up expecting a performance, I am so sorry, you deserved better from me. I understand that being a musician comes with big responsibilities, both on and off stage, and I know that I fell short that day. Why Was an Arrest Warrant Issued?<\/h3>\n

The statement comes after an arrest warrant was issued on June 18<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to court documents, Zimmerman is facing a fourth-degree felony charge for criminal damage to property over $1,000 and a misdemeanor charge for falsely obtaining services.<\/p>\n

The charges stem from an incident at Sandia Resort & Casino in Albuquerque, where Zimmerman had been scheduled to perform on May 27 before canceling the show, citing illness.<\/p>\n

According to an affidavit, resort staff alleged Zimmerman appeared intoxicated during soundcheck and behaved erratically before leaving the venue.<\/p>\n

The affidavit further alleges that after returning to the resort, Zimmerman left behind more than $16,000 in damage to his hotel room, including damage to furniture, a television, a phone, and a wall.<\/p>\n

The document also alleges that Zimmerman charged approximately $400 in alcohol to the room and left without paying the bill.<\/p>\n

According to the warrant, attempts to contact Zimmerman before the warrant was issued were unsuccessful.<\/p>\n
