\n\tBruce Springsteen, Alicia Keys, and Jennifer Hudson were expected to pay their respects to Clive Davis<\/a> at the legendary record exec\u2019s funeral<\/a> Monday in New York City.<\/p>\n \n\tThe service at Manhattan\u2019s Central Synagogue opened with a performance of \u201cSongbird\u201d from Kenny G, one of the many blockbuster artists Davis signed during his illustrious career. Following an address and performance of \u201cSomewhere Over the Rainbow\u201d from rabbi Angela Warnick Buchdahl, Dionne Warwick was the first to pay tribute to Davis.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cHe was a dear friend, cared about Dionne\u201d Warwick said. \u201cThere was not anything that he ever did that I didn\u2019t get the first phone call: You will be there right? \u2026 He was always asking, \u2018Where\u2019s my Dionne. Well, I\u2019m here today, Clive. Will always be here for you.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tDavis died<\/a> June 22 at the age of 94, with a rep for the mogul saying he \u201cpassed away peacefully from age-related illness \u2026 surrounded by his family and loved ones.\u201d Throughout his extraordinary seven decades in the music industry, Davis gained a reputation as a tireless champion of artists he believed in and a sharp businessman.<\/p>\n \n\tFollowing Davis\u2019 death, Keys was among the\u00a0wave of legendary artists\u00a0<\/a>crediting Davis for being pivotal at the start of their careers. \u201cClive Davis changed my life forever,\u201d Keys wrote in her\u00a0tribute<\/a>. \u201cHe has stood beside me through every chapter that followed. Not just in that fake industry way but in a way that was full of love for how unlimited I could be!\u201d<\/p>\n
