The band pushed back two dates at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n\tRush<\/a> announced that its remaining two dates of a four-show run at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, have been postponed after lead singer and bassist Geddy Lee<\/a> was diagnosed with laryngitis and bronchitis. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn a statement<\/a> shared to Rush\u2019s official Instagram account, the band said that the June 20 and July 2 shows will now take place on July 11 and July 13, respectively. Lee was advised by doctors to \u201crest and recover before returning to the stage,\u201d said the group. \u201cThis is incredibly disappointing for all of us. We know many of you have made travel plans and have been counting down the days to these shows. Please know this decision was not made lightly.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe statement added, \u201cAfter more than 50 years of touring, we\u2019ve always believed that if we\u2019re going to step on stage, we owe you the very best performance we can give\u2014and right now, that simply isn\u2019t possible.\u201d Previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates. For fans unable to attend the new dates, refund information will be available from the original point of purchase. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn a video shared to the band\u2019s social media account, guitarist Alex Lifeson\u00a0said that Lee could \u201cbarely speak, let alone sing,\u201d during soundcheck earlier in the day. \u201cWe\u2019re really, really sorry. Really heartbroken,\u201d Lifeson continued. \u201cBut we can\u2019t do a show that\u2019s not 100 percent. So, that\u2019s our responsibility to you, and we live by that. We\u2019ll see you soon.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThis is the second time<\/a> the Canadian band has pushed back the dates. Last week, their originally scheduled June 24 show was postponed to July 2 due to \u201cunforeseen travel and border-related delays\u201d impacting production. Before the latest setback, Rush performed two shows on June 26 and June 28 in Fort Worth.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
