And on Tuesday, two of Bell\u2019s good friends, the songwriters Zach Schmidt and Jackie Berkley (a.k.a. the husband-and-wife duo known as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/t\/golden-everything\/\" id=\"auto-tag_golden-everything\" data-tag=\"golden-everything\">Golden Everything<\/a>), release their new single \u201cWhite Buick,\u201d a tender tribute to a man gone too soon. From their forthcoming EP <em>Down Time<\/em>, out July 17th, it charts Bell\u2019s joy, talent, and enduring free spirit: \u201cYou\u2019re not afraid of a hard day\u2019s work, or howling at the moon,\u201d they sing in gentle harmony.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube\">\n<p>\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"White Buick\" width=\"1200\" height=\"900\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gIUApzzDNtg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cHis energy was infectious,\u201d Schmidt <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/luke-bell-country-singer-death-mental-health-1235460143\/\">told <em>Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a> about Bell in 2025. The two met shortly after Schmidt moved to Nashville from a stint in Pittsburgh, and they became fast friends and collaborators. \u201cIt was kind of unrivaled in everything he did, and it translated to his music.\u201d<\/p>\n<section class=\"brands-most-popular \/\/ recirculation-modules trending-in-article lrv-u-margin-tb-2 lrv-u-border-a-2 u-box-shadow-5-5 lrv-u-padding-lr-1 a-span1 u-padding-b-1@tablet u-overflow-hidden\">\n<h2 id=\"section-heading\" class=\"c-heading larva  lrv-u-text-align-center u-border-color-black a-font-theme-primary-xxs lrv-u-color-black lrv-u-text-transform-uppercase u-letter-spacing-0063 lrv-u-padding-t-050 u-padding-b-0375@tablet lrv-u-padding-b-050@mobile-max lrv-u-border-b-2\">\n<p>\t\tTrending Stories<\/p>\n<\/h2>\n<\/section>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tSchmidt and Bell\u2019s family worked to capture that energy at last year\u2019s tribune to Bell during AmericanaFest, and it was then that Schmidt was moved to write \u201cWhite Buick.\u201d All proceeds from the song will benefit the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lbmacp.org\/\">Luke Bell Memorial Affordable Counseling Program<\/a>, and a live performance video will also direct funds toward the organization.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tSchmidt detailed the origin of \u201cWhite Buick\u201d in a lengthy <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DaZCDrbNLS_\/?igsh=MWQyZml0enUybHRsZQ%3D%3D\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram post<\/a>. \u201cLuke was my advocate.
